Also means
to look after
Usage Note
Accudire means to tend to someone who needs regular personal care, especially children, the elderly, or the sick. It is slightly more formal and tender than the everyday badare a. The verb takes avere as its auxiliary: ho accudito i bambini. It is often followed by a direct object or the pronoun a: accudire qualcuno or accudire a qualcuno.
Examples
"La nonna accudisce i nipoti ogni pomeriggio."

Grandma looks after the grandchildren every afternoon.
