Affrettato is the past participle of affrettare ('to hurry') used as an adjective. Una decisione affrettata is a hasty, poorly considered decision. It often implies negative consequences: Non fare giudizi affrettati ('Don't make rash judgments'). Contrast with rapido ('fast'), which is neutral.
