Antipatia is a feminine noun meaning a spontaneous feeling of dislike toward someone. Its near-opposite is simpatia. The common phrase provare antipatia per qualcuno means 'to take a dislike to someone'. Do not confuse with antipatico (the adjective 'unfriendly/unpleasant'), which describes the person, not the feeling.
