Funesto means bringing death, disaster, or grief — a fateful, dire outcome. It is stronger than triste (sad) and carries a sense of foreboding: presagio funesto (ill omen), conseguenze funeste (disastrous consequences). Feminine: funesta; plural: funesti / funeste.
