Usage Note
Biasimare is a formal verb meaning to censure or blame someone for something wrong — more elevated in register than dare la colpa a (to blame). It takes avere as its auxiliary and is followed by per + noun or an infinitive clause (biasimare qualcuno per l'errore — to blame someone for the mistake). In everyday speech, Italians more often say rimproverare (to rebuke) or incolpare (to charge with blame).
Examples
"Non posso biasimarti per questa scelta."
