bravo

good

adjective BRAH-voh Less Common

Also means

skilled

Usage Note

Bravo describes a person who is good at something or well-behaved, not a thing's quality, so a 'good film' is un bel film, not bravo. As a shout of praise it agrees in gender and number: brava! to a woman, bravi! to a group.

Examples

"Sei un bravo studente."
