Usage Note

Brezza describes a gentle, pleasant wind — lighter than vento (wind) and distinct from raffica (gust). It is commonly found in weather reports and poetic descriptions: una brezza marina (a sea breeze). The double z is pronounced 'ts' (BRET-tsah). The plural brezze is regular.
