Bronzo is used both for the metal alloy and for bronze artworks (un bronzo romano = 'a Roman bronze statue'). The phrase medaglia di bronzo = 'bronze medal'. The plural is bronzi. The adjective bronzeo ('bronze-coloured') is used in literary contexts.
