Usage Note
Confinante is the present participle of confinare used as an adjective meaning sharing a border or boundary. I paesi confinanti means neighbouring countries, and la proprietà confinante means the adjoining property. It can also function as a noun: i confinanti are one's neighbours (specifically those who share a property boundary, more formal than i vicini).
Examples
"I comuni confinanti hanno firmato un accordo."
Natural Translation
The neighbouring municipalities signed an agreement.
