Usage Note

Crepuscolare describes something relating to twilight or dusk. In Italian literary history it also names the crepuscolarismo, an early-20th-century poetic movement (poesia crepuscolare) characterized by melancholy and subdued tones. The adjective is invariable in gender: il cielo crepuscolare / la luce crepuscolare.
