Also means
thorough
Usage Note
Dettagliato agrees in gender and number with its noun: un rapporto dettagliato, una risposta dettagliata. It often follows the noun rather than preceding it, which is the more neutral Italian word order. As an adjective derived from dettaglio (detail), it carries a formal, written register more than spoken Italian.
Examples
"Hai scritto un resoconto molto dettagliato."
Natural Translation
You wrote a very detailed report.
