Usage Note
Divertire means to entertain someone else; the reflexive divertirsi means 'to enjoy oneself' — mi diverto ('I'm having fun'). Compound tenses with essere when reflexive: mi sono divertito. It is the source of the noun divertimento ('entertainment, amusement').
