Editoria refers collectively to the publishing industry or trade — il mondo dell'editoria (the publishing world). It is distinct from editore (publisher) and edizione (edition). The adjective editoriale (editorial) is common in media. Plural editorie exists but is rare; in practice editoria is usually treated as an uncountable industry noun.
