Educativo describes something that teaches or builds character: un gioco educativo ('an educational game'), un'esperienza educativa ('an educational experience'). Note that educato (educated/mannerly) is different — è molto educato means 'he is very well-mannered', not 'very educated'. The related noun is educazione (upbringing, manners, or education).
