Entusiasmare is often used reflexively: entusiasmarsi per qualcosa means 'to get excited about something.' The transitive form takes avere: il concerto ha entusiasmato il pubblico (the concert thrilled the audience). The reflexive takes essere in compound tenses: si è entusiasmata subito.
