Usage Note
Frustrante is invariable in gender (same form for masculine and feminine singular): un compito frustrante, una situazione frustrante. It derives from the verb frustrare and is used to describe situations or things — not people. To say a person is frustrated, use the past participle frustrato/a instead.
Examples
"È frustrante non riuscire a capire."
Natural Translation
It is frustrating not being able to understand.
