Usage Note

Improponibile literally means 'unable to be proposed' and is used to dismiss an idea, plan, or candidacy as completely out of the question. It is a stronger register than inaccettabile (unacceptable) and carries a sense that the thing should never even have been suggested. Invariable for gender: un progetto improponibile, una candidatura improponibile.
