Usage Note

Inconfutabile describes an argument, proof, or fact that cannot be refuted: una prova inconfutabile ('irrefutable proof'). It is invariable for gender in the singular (argomento inconfutabile, evidenza inconfutabile) and takes -i in the plural. A near-synonym is inconfutato ('unrefuted', i.e. not yet challenged).
