Usage Note

Indifendibile is invariable for gender and only changes in the plural (indifendibili). It is used both for military positions that cannot be defended and figuratively for arguments, positions, or behaviors that cannot be justified — una scelta indifendibile (an indefensible choice). The opposite is difendibile.
