Indignazione is a feminine noun and always takes l' before a vowel: l'indignazione. It denotes a strong moral displeasure at perceived injustice, stronger than disappunto (disappointment) but less extreme than furia (fury). The related adjective is indignato and the verb is indignarsi (reflexive, to become indignant).
