invio

sending; dispatch

noun een-VEE-oh Rare

Also means

submission (of a form)

Usage Note

Invio is the noun from inviare (to send) and covers the sending of a letter, parcel, email, or digital submission. On Italian websites and forms, the submit button is typically labelled Invia (send) and the confirmation message often references l'invio. Do not confuse it with arrivo (arrival), its directional opposite.

Examples

"L'invio del pacco è confermato per domani."

Natural Translation

The dispatch of the parcel is confirmed for tomorrow.
