Usage Note

Leggibile applies both to handwriting or print that can be physically deciphered (una scrittura leggibile = legible handwriting) and to a text that is enjoyable or easy to read (un romanzo molto leggibile = a very readable novel). Its opposite is illeggibile. It does not change for gender but adds -i in the plural.
