Liscio means smooth to the touch, or figuratively plain and without obstacles (andare liscio = to go smoothly). For hair, capelli lisci = straight hair (opposite of ricci, curly). The idiom passarla liscia means 'to get away with it'. Liscio also names a traditional Italian ballroom dance genre. Forms: liscia (f), lisci (m pl), lisce (f pl).
