Also means
lucid
Usage Note
Lucido primarily means shiny or polished (scarpe lucide = polished shoes), but also means mentally clear and lucid — è rimasto lucido fino alla fine (he remained lucid until the end). The noun lucido can also refer to shoe polish or a transparency/overhead projector slide in older usage. Do not confuse with luminoso (bright, luminous), which refers to emitting light.
Examples
"Il pavimento è lucido dopo la pulizia."
Natural Translation
The floor is shiny after the cleaning.
