Lussurioso describes someone driven by excessive physical desire or sensual indulgence. In Dante's Divina Commedia, the lussuriosi form one of the circles of Hell, giving the word a classical literary resonance. Do not confuse with lussuoso (luxurious, opulent) — a common false-friend error.
