Usage Note
Meraviglioso comes from meraviglia (marvel, wonder) and is one of the most emphatic positive adjectives in Italian. The feminine form is meravigliosa; plurals are meravigliosi / meravigliose. In speech it often functions as an exclamation (Meraviglioso!) equivalent to 'Wonderful!' Note the 'gli' cluster, pronounced like the 'lli' in 'million'.
