Usage Note
Nascosto is the past participle of nascondere (to hide), used as an adjective. It agrees in gender and number: nascosto, nascosta, nascosti, nascoste. The idiomatic phrase di nascosto means 'secretly' or 'on the sly' (Lo ha fatto di nascosto — He did it secretly). Do not confuse with nascere (to be born), which is unrelated.
