Usage Note
Offerto is the irregular past participle of offrire (to offer), used both as part of compound tenses and as an adjective meaning 'offered' or 'provided'. The regular form would be offrito but is not used — offerto is the only correct form. The noun offerta (f), meaning offer or discount, is closely related and very common in shopping contexts (in offerta = on sale).
Examples
"Il servizio è offerto gratuitamente agli studenti."
Natural Translation
The service is offered free of charge to students.
