Usage Note

Peloso means covered in hair or fur and applies to people, animals, and surfaces. The phrase amico peloso (furry friend) is an affectionate way to refer to a pet. Do not confuse with piloso (which also exists but is rarer) or capelluto (specifically of the scalp). The feminine form is pelosa.
