Usage Note

Quota has two main senses: a share or quota (quota di mercato, market share; quota immigrazione, immigration quota) and an altitude or elevation (volare ad alta quota, to fly at high altitude). In skiing, quota neve refers to the snow line. The plural quote is regular. Quote associative are membership fees/dues in clubs or associations.
