Usage Note
Riassunto is the past participle of riassumere used as a noun. It is the standard Italian word for a written or spoken summary — a school pupil writes un riassunto of a text, and a curriculum vitae may be called il riassunto delle esperienze. Do not confuse with riepilogo (recap, usually oral/structured).
Examples
"Scrivi un riassunto del capitolo."
