Usage Note
Road is used in Italian as an invariable English borrowing, mainly in titles, brand names, and music (e.g. on the road, album titles). It does not replace the native strada or via in standard usage. Gender is treated as feminine by convention when an article is required.
Examples
"Il titolo del disco è 'Road to nowhere'."
Natural Translation
The album title is 'Road to nowhere'.
