Rovinoso describes something that causes ruin, devastation, or disaster — una caduta rovinosa (a disastrous fall), una sconfitta rovinosa (a ruinous defeat). It can describe both physical collapses and financial or moral disasters. The adverb is rovinosamente. Do not confuse with rovinato (ruined, past participle), which describes the state of being already ruined.
