Usage Note
Sgradito is the antonym of gradito (welcome, appreciated) formed with the prefix s- (negation). It is used in formal registers — ospite sgradito (unwelcome guest), sorpresa sgradita (unpleasant surprise). In everyday speech indesiderato or simply non gradito is more common.
