Soldataglia is a pejorative collective noun for an undisciplined, disorderly band of soldiers. The suffix -aglia (as in gentaglia, ciurmaglia) marks collective nouns with a derogatory sense. It is always used in the singular and has no standard plural. Invariable in number.
