Usage Note
Sorriso is the noun form of sorridere (to smile). Its plural is i sorrisi. Common expressions: fare un sorriso (to give a smile), un sorriso smagliante (a dazzling smile). As an adjective, sorridente means smiling. Note: ridere means to laugh, while sorridere specifically means to smile — a distinction not always preserved in English.
