Usage Note
Spettacolare is invariable in gender (same form for masculine and feminine singular) but takes -i in the plural: spettacolari. It is an intensifier adjective often used colloquially to mean 'amazing, stunning': una vista spettacolare (a spectacular view). Learners should not confuse it with the noun lo spettacolo (show, spectacle), though both share the same root.
Examples
"La vista dal balcone era davvero spettacolare."
Natural Translation
The view from the balcony was truly spectacular.
