Usage Note
Strutturalismo is an academic/intellectual term referring to the 20th-century theoretical movement (Saussure, Lévi-Strauss, Barthes) that analyzes cultural phenomena as systems of structural relations. It is invariably masculine and used mainly in the humanities. The adjective form is strutturalista (which is also the noun for a structuralist scholar).
