Tracciare covers drawing a line, mapping a route (tracciare un percorso), and the figurative sense of outlining a plan or career (tracciare una strategia). It is a regular -are verb (but note the spelling: tracci in the 2nd-person singular present to preserve the 'ch' sound). Takes avere as auxiliary.
