venerdì
Friday
noun veh-ner-DEE Less Common
Origin: From Latin Veneris dies 'day of Venus'.
Usage Note
Venerdì bears a written accent on the final syllable — without it the word would be stressed on the penultimate. Like all Italian days of the week, it is masculine and does not capitalise. The plural is invariable: i venerdì. The article is used for habitual events: di venerdì or il venerdì ('on Fridays').
Examples
"Ci vediamo venerdì prossimo."
Natural Translation
We'll see each other next Friday.
