Usage Note

Voce covers the human voice, a dictionary entry (la voce 'cane'), and a rumor (corre voce che..., rumor has it that...). Ad alta voce means 'aloud,' and a bassa voce means 'in a low voice / quietly.' The plural voci can also mean 'rumors' or 'voices.'
