Accusatorio has a formal, legal register and describes a tone, manner, or system that levels accusations. In Italian law, sistema accusatorio denotes an adversarial legal system (as opposed to the inquisitorial sistema inquisitorio). In everyday use, tono accusatorio ('accusatory tone') is the most common collocation. Forms: accusatoria (f), accusatori (m pl), accusatorie (f pl).
