Usage Note

Agio means ease, comfort, or leisure. The key idiom is mettersi a proprio agio ('to make oneself comfortable') and mettere qualcuno a proprio agio ('to put someone at ease'). The plural agi means 'comforts' or 'amenities': vivere negli agi ('to live in comfort'). Do not confuse with the stock-market term aggio ('premium, surcharge'), which has a double 'g'.
