Anagrafe (or l'ufficio anagrafe) is the municipal civil registry where births, deaths, marriages, and residences are officially recorded. Every Italian citizen must register their residence (residenza) at the local anagrafe. The gender is feminine: l'anagrafe, despite ending in -e.
