Antinfiammatorio is used both as a noun (prendere un antinfiammatorio — 'to take an anti-inflammatory') and as an adjective (un farmaco antinfiammatorio). As a noun it is masculine; the plural is gli antinfiammatori. Common over-the-counter examples in Italy include ibuprofene and diclofenac.
