arancia
orange (fruit)
noun ah-RAHN-chah Rare
Origin: Arabic nāranj, via Spanish naranja
Usage Note
Arancia is feminine: l'arancia. Its irregular plural is le arance (not arancee). The colour 'orange' is arancione (invariable) or arancio — derived from the fruit, just as in English. Do not confuse arancia (the fruit) with aranciata (orange soda).
Examples
"Bevo un succo di arancia ogni mattina."
Natural Translation
I drink an orange juice every morning.
