Usage Note
Arroganza denotes a presumptuous, overbearing attitude. It is considered a stronger condemnation than the English 'arrogance' in everyday Italian conversation. The adjective arrogante and the adverb arrogantemente follow the same root. A near-synonym is presunzione (presumptuousness), but arroganza implies more aggression and disrespect toward others.
Examples
"La sua arroganza infastidisce tutti."
Natural Translation
His arrogance annoys everyone.
