Bellico is a formal adjective used primarily in written or official language — operazioni belliche (war operations), industria bellica (war industry). It should not be confused with bellicoso (bellicose, aggressive by nature), which describes a temperament rather than a factual relation to war. The feminine form is bellica, plural bellici/belliche.
