Also means
tasty, kind
Usage Note
Buono shortens to buon before a masculine noun starting with a consonant: buon giorno, buon appetito. Before a vowel it is buon as well: buon umore. The comparative is migliore (better), NOT più buono in formal registers, though più buono is heard informally. As a standalone exclamation, Buono! means 'Tasty!'
Examples
"Questo caffè è molto buono."
Natural Translation
This coffee is very good.
