Capretto is grammatically masculine despite the seed listing it as feminine — il capretto, not la capretto. It refers to a young goat (kid) or, very commonly in Italian cuisine, to the meat of a young goat roasted or stewed. Capretto al forno (roast kid) is a traditional Easter dish.
